What you can expect
What you can expect from Scottish Mountain Bike Guides
Route Details
We provide a full set of maps with the route marked up. We also provide your group with a GPS with the route uploaded.
Accommodation
We use high quality bunkhouses (dormitory style accommodation) and 3 and 4 star B&Bs which have the Scottish Tourist Board’s “Cyclists Welcome” award.
Transport
The support crew will collect you from your point of arrival in Scotland at the beginning of your trip and return you to your point of departure at the end. Any other transfers required as part of the trip are included. If necessary we provide transport to your overnight accommodation from the end point of the day’s ride and back to the next day’s start point.
Luggage Transfer
The support crew will transport your luggage to each overnight stop and make sure it is in your room ready for your arrival.
Mechanical and Emergency Back Up
Your bikes will be cleaned each night and prepared for the next day’s riding. Any mechanical problems will be dealt with, either by your guide or the support crew during the day, or at the overnight stop. The support van carries a complete spare bike, which you will have access to should the need arise.Y
You are supplied with a GPS tracker which can be used to summon the emergency services and communicate with the support crew if you have an incident. This device works even when there is no mobile phone reception (common in the Highlands).
Basically, all you need to do is ride your bike each day and we take care of everything else!
