Recommended Kit List
Tools and Spares
On all trips and courses your guide / instructor will carry a comprehensive trail toolkit as recommended by the SMBLA. This is sufficient to repair most problems on modern mountain bikes. If your bike has any older or more exotic components which require specific tools, please bring these tools yourself.
We recommend you carry:
- Bike pump
- Inner tubes (at least two)
- Tyre Levers
- Multi-tool
- Brake pads to suit your brakes
- Rear gear hanger to fit your bike
- Front and rear bike lights (depending on time of year)
For self-guided trips you will need your own trail toolkit.

- Torx key (T25 for disc rotor bolts)
